Hopwisp privacy

Your game stays on your device

Hopwisp has no sign-in, advertising, purchases, chat or gameplay analytics. Your progress, frog collection, pond arrangements, names and settings are stored on your device. They are not sent to Koppel IT. Android may back up and restore this data according to your device and Google account settings. All game content works offline after installation.

Optional crash diagnostics

When Crash reports is enabled and an internet connection is available, Hopwisp sends technical crash and unresponsive-app reports to Koppel IT's project at Sentry, our diagnostics provider. Reports can include error messages and stack traces, app version, device model, operating system, technical device state and diagnostic identifiers. Network requests expose an IP address to the receiving service; Sentry may derive an approximate region. The game does not request GPS or location permission.

We use these reports to find and fix faults. We do not use them for advertising or player profiling. We disable screenshots, view hierarchies, session replay, gameplay recording, interaction breadcrumbs and performance tracing. Account and request data are removed from events before sending; saved-game contents and player-entered names are not intentionally attached. We do not sell personal data. Sentry processes diagnostics on our behalf and may process them outside your country.

Your choices and deletion

You can turn Crash reports off in Settings. This stops new capture; it does not erase reports already delivered. The app can cache up to ten reports for delivery when online. Diagnostic reports are retained for investigating stability problems, subject to the Sentry project's automatic retention, and removed when no longer needed. Contact hello@koppelit.com to request help or deletion of identifiable reports. Because Hopwisp has no account, we may need the approximate time, app version and device model to locate a report; we cannot reliably link every report to a person.

You can remove local progress through Android Settings by clearing Hopwisp's storage or uninstalling. Manage device backup separately in Android or your Google account settings, since restoring a backup may restore progress. No Hopwisp account needs to be deleted.

Permissions and security

Internet access supports optional diagnostics. Vibration supports optional haptics. The game does not ask for access to your contacts, microphone, camera or precise location. Diagnostic transfers use HTTPS. The public download website's hosting service also receives normal web-request information, such as IP address and browser details, when you visit or download the app; this is separate from gameplay.
